Preparation for my magazine-

My magazine will most probably be called ‘M.I.L.F’ which stands for `music is life’s foundation’, the reason for which I have chosen this to be my magazine name is because I think it’s quite catchy and noticeable, although it doesn’t have much relation to the genre of the magazine it does still sound catchy something that people will remember. My magazine will include quite a lot of images and a lot of text as this is what I think my target audience of both male and female 16-20 will like to be included into the magazine. It will be sold nationally across the UK, as this will mean my magazine will become more popular and hopefully successful. I will also include popular artists such as Rihanna, Chris Brown and new upcoming artists which I think my audience would want to read about. I have thought about pricing my magazine at the price of £2.10 because I think that’s quite a reasonable price most people would pay. The institution that I could possibly use to publish my magazine is IPC Media as they produce well known popular magazines such as NME. This gives me the idea that because their other published magazines are so popular that mine could be too. I have decided to target my magazine to both males and females as it will include both stories of which males and females would enjoy to read. The magazine cover I think will be quite subtle and simple this is because I don’t want something to in your face, which could cause my readers to distance from the magazine as it could look tacky and cheap which is what I don’t want, although I want to use brightish colours I don’t want it too bold. I will include competitions and exclusive stories in my magazine to attract the readers and feel as if they’re interacting with the magazine.
